It’s been an intense day for people in the United States, after Trump supporters forced their way into the Capitol building on Wednesday, January 6th.
A lot of celebrities and social media personalities have slammed the protesters, calling the riot “disturbing” and an “embarrassment”.
Online influencer Amanda Ensing, who previously revealed that she voted for Donald Trump, has found herself at the centre of a controversy over tweets she shared about the riot in Washington DC.

Amanda Ensing is a beauty influencer and YouTuber.
She rose to fame for creating make-up and fashion content on her YouTube channel where she currently has 1.42 million subscribers.
According to a LinkedIn profile under her name, Amanda graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BA degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration.
Her profile shows that she has a passion for make-up and fashion, and worked at Sephora and Coach prior to becoming a social media personality.

The Amanda Ensing drama explained
Amanda has faced backlash from other YouTubers after she expressed her views about the riot that took place in Washington on Wednesday, January 6th.
The beauty blogger has often used her social media platforms to show support for Donald Trump. In a previous YouTube video, she revealed that she voted for Trump in the 2020 presidential election.
“Still think Biden won?” Amanda tweeted, alongside a picture of protesters outside of the Capitol building.
In response to the tweet, make-up blogger Shayla said:
“People showing up at the capitol doesn’t mean he won, just like you curling your hair and tanning your skin doesn’t mean you’re ‘MiXeD’.”
Amanda had a heated exchange with several other content creators including Naira Banks and Alissa Ashley.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Zamora has also called out Amanda and tweeted: “This is entertainment to you? I’m embarrassed for you.”

Amanda responds to the backlash
Amanda has since responded following the heated tweet exchange she had with fellow social media personalities.
In one of her latest Twitter posts, she tweeted:
“It’s the ones who are against you who believe in your power the most. Haters mean you stood up for something in your life. It’s why they hate Trump and it’s why they hate you for seeing past the MSM propaganda. He was never going to play by the swamps rules.”
