Sunny decided to be honest with her audience in the latest episode of ‘The View.’ She opened up about the tragedy that hit her family by stating, “Emmanuel lost his father (Dr. A. Emmanuel) on Dec. 28, at age 83 and lost his mother (Dr. Maria Jesus) on New Year’s Day at age 78,” as reported by USA Today.

Who is Sunny Hostin’s husband?
Emmanuel is a sports doctor and orthopedic surgeon. The pair are proud parents of two children, son Gabriel and daughter Paloma. Throughout her career, Sunny has kept her relationship private. However, she has not been afraid to show a glimpse into her life on her social media.
She has shared videos and pictures with Emmanuel that hint the pair are perfect for each other. Emmanuel has also participated in various medical missions. He provided medical assistance during the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. At the same time, Emmanuel and Sunny own Alvin & Friends restaurant together.
Sunny opened up about Emmanuel losing his parents to COVID-19. “Although I’ve chosen a very public career, as most of you know, those of you that know my husband, Manny, know that he is intensely private,” she said. “But after speaking with him, he felt that from a public health standpoint that it was very important for me to share that we are deeply saddened that Manny lost both of his parents over the holidays.”
She continued, “Emmanuel lost his father (Dr. A. Emmanuel) on Dec. 28, at age 83 and lost his mother (Dr. Maria Jesus) on New Year’s Day at age 78.”
